Amazonite Sphere + Wooden Stand

If I had to pick a favourite Amazonite piece, this would be it. It’s a pieve that quietly shows off if you give it a moment.

On the surface, it looks just like any other Amazonite sphere, but this one holds a little shimmering secret.

The colour is that really bright minty green that good amazonite tends to have, and running through the sphere are lots of pale lines and streaks that give it a lovely natural pattern. It feels very “alive” inside rather than just being one solid colour.

But the thing that caught my attention with this one is a little shimmer that’s hiding in the stone. In one small spot, when the surface catches the light you suddenly you get this silvery flash that looks like a tiny piece of magic. The first time I noticed it I actually did a double take because it really does look like a tiny piece of moonlight tucked into the sphere.

When you slowly turn it in the light the shimmer appears and disappears again, which makes it feel like a little hidden detail the stone is keeping to itself. Which is the same with it’s crystal cousins Labradorite and Moonstone – when the light hits their sweet spot, their spectacular shimmer appears.

Amazonite is one of those stones people often find their way to when life has started to feel a bit noisy or emotionally busy. It’s well-loved for calming stress, soothing anxious thoughts, and helping to bring a sense of emotional balance back into your day.
